Frog Pond Wetland Reserve

The Del Rey Oaks Frog Pond Reserve, which is open to all with no access permit requirement, offers 17 acres of refuge to a variety of wildlife, including the Pacific tree frog. Take a gentle walk in the redwoods and coastal oaks and enjoy nature. The park is located at 650 Canyon Del Rey Blvd, Del Rey Oaks. The park welcomes pets on a leash. T’ai Chi Chih – Joy Through Movement

A free t’ai chi chih class with the goal of developing the ability to move through the forms with a focused awareness and minimal physical effort is offered Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Monterey Peninsula, 490 Aguajito Road in Carmel. Twilight Bicycle Ride

Take to the track and experience the thrill of pedaling Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, 1021 Monterey-Salinas Highway, Monterey, on Wednesday, Feb. 13 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Ride the challenging 300-foot climb and descent down the “world famous” Corkscrew. Community Free Friday

Early & Fit

Learn to build on a foundation of alignment and posture at the Early & Fit: Wake Up and Smell the Coffee Session 1, Mon., Wed. and Fri., Feb. 11-March 8, 6:30-7:30 a.m. in the Cabrillo College Gymnasium, 6550 Soquel Drive, Aptos. Though coffee is not served, a warm-up followed by cardio work and strength training are on the menu. All levels welcome. Cost: $140. Elkhorn Slough Reserve

Marine Mammal Research Tour

Go behind the scenes at Long Marine Lab, Sunday, Jan. 27, 2-3:30 p.m. Learn about the work of scientists and their studies of dolphins, seals, sea lions and whales. Monarch Butterfly Grove Tours

Nature Exploration Walks

Science Sunday

Watsonville Nature Walks

Wharf Walks
