Neil Cavuto began his career in journalism as a general assignment reporter for the now-defunct local news service Channel One News. From there, he went on to work as a financial news editor and senior producer for WKYC-TV in Cleveland, Ohio. He later became a national correspondent for NBC News, based in Wall Street. Cavuto began working for Fox News in 1996, initially serving as the network’s business news editor. He was promoted to vice president and managing editor of business news in 1998, and to senior vice president in 1999.
